Event Details
Join us at the Hamilton Gardens Paris Pavilion on August 21st at 2:00 pm and help count our pollinators. There will be a brief overview of the count purpose and procedures for counting and recording.
The actual count only takes 15 minutes at a number of perfect spots in the upper garden. You might want to bring a small stool or a chair and sun hat.
The presenter is Becky Griffin, MPPPM, with the University of Georgia. She is based at the Georgia Mountain Research and Experiment Center east of Blairsville. She is a Community and School Garden Coordinator and Georgia Certified Beekeeper / pollinator Health Program Associate
The Paris Pavilion can be reached by turning off US 76 at the Gerogia Mountain Fairgrounds sign and proceeding to the large arch. Turn right after the arch and continue up the hill to the Gardens parking lot and Pavilion.
Due to safety concerns for our visitors and volunteers the following procedures are in effect until further notice: Social Distancing required, masks are recommended.
